1) Incorreto:
I visited many cities during my trip. I got to visit places like Lima, Cusco, that are the biggest ones. I also visited Titicaca Lake, that is the biggest lake in the region.
Correto:
I visited many cities during my trip. I got to visit places like Lima and Cusco, which are the biggest cities in Peru. I also visited Titicaca Lake, which is the biggest lake in the region.
2) Incorreto:
I won the competition that day, that made me really happy.
Correto:
I won the competition that day, which made me really happy.
Um outro jeito de corrigir o exemplo 2 seria mudar a pontuação e usar uma conjunção: "I won the competition that day AND that made me really happy." Neste caso, não poderíamos usar 'which'.
1) This is the book that I talked to you about. = This is the book which I talked to you about.
(Este é o livro de que te falei.)
2) This is the street that leads to the restaurant. = This is the street which leads to the restaurant.
Veja:
1) Is this the doctor who/that assisted you yesterday?
2) I simply hate people who/that don't clean up the table after eating at the mall.
1) And this lovely girl here is Mary, who is also very intelligent.
2) In the next Simpsons episode, Lisa will fall for Edmund, who looks very like Edward from Twilight.
